Children of the Vault Mission Summary

Despite an ambush by the bandit cult known as the Children of the Vault, the Crimson Raiders successfully recruited a new Vault Hunter: you. Now their Siren leader Lilith needs you to infiltrate a COV propaganda center alongside what appears to be a yellow toaster with anxiety.

Children of the Vault Walkthrough

After the first cutscene with Claptrap, follow him to the Quick Change Machine beneath the large “Welcome” sign and Register your Echo device.

Having Registered your Echo, follow Claptrap to the large gate that is located directly behind the building.With the gate locked closed, follow the on-screen blue diamond marker to the right of the gate.

Here, you will find a large lever next to the yellow car shell. Pull the Lever to open the gate.

Follow Claptrap through the gate and jump across the broken bridge. Continue following Claptrap until you reach a crate, in which he will explode to reveal a weapons cache. Take the Weapon Inside the Crate.

Follow Claptrap and Gain Entry into the Propaganda Center.

After a short cutscene, Claptrap will be taken by the Children of the Vault (COV). Follow Claptrap, who is now stuck to a large magnetic device, and Kill the COV enemies in the area.

Once all of the COV are killed, make your way through the large metal doors.

Once inside the new area, begin Searching for Shield.

The Shield can be found in the Northern part of the area, on top of three large shipping containers.

With the Shield obtained, use the onscreen marker to Find Shiv inside the large building.

As you enter inside the large building, a short cutscene will play, introducing Shiv.

Defeat Shiv by dodging his special ability that allows him to slam the ground, creating a large earthquake-like crack that travels directly in front of him.

Dodge this attack by using the area to your advantage and jumping to avoid his special ability when it nears you. When time permits, spray him with bullets at every opportunity to take him down as fast as possible.

After defeating Shiv, make your way up the stairs inside the building and begin heading towards the top of the tower to access the magnetic control panel. Upon disabling the magnet, Claptrap will fall to the ground.

Make your way to Claptrap on the ground and Revive Him.

Now that Claptrap is saved, Speak with Lilith who has just appeared to receive your reward.
