Our pal Phys has finally invited us to check out Atlas HQ. Despite losing Rhys-ball, the Atlas CEO seems in high spirits. The tide of the war is turning! Nothing could possibly go wrong.

Atlas, At Last Rewards and Requirements

Atlas, At Last Mission Objectives

  • Go to Meridian Metroplex
  • Head to secret Atlas HQ entrance
  • Get the Vault Key fragment from Rhys
  • Reboot the defense cannons
  • Destroy the Nullhound inhibiting turrets
  • Reboot defense cannons
  • Head to the final defense control
  • Destroy the nullhounds inhibiting turrets
  • Reboot defense cannons
  • Hold off the Maliwan forces
  • Take the elevator to Rhys’ office
  • Meet Rhys in his Office
  • Reveal the secret path
  • Follow Rhys down to the rooftop
  • Defeat Katagawa Jr.

Atlas, At Last Walkthrough

After the events of Space-Laser Tag, wait while Claptrap phones Rhys. Once Rhys answers, listen to what he has to say.

Go to Meridian Metroplex

After speaking with Rhys via the projector, make your way to Meridian Metroplex.

Head to the Secret Atlas HQ Entrance

Head to the Secret Atlas HQ entrance.

Get Vault Key Fragment from Rhys

Head into Atlas HQ via the onscreen marker.

Reboot the Defense Cannons

After a short cutscene, you’ll learn that Katagawa has managed turn Atlas’ defense cannons off. Help get them back up by rebooting the Defense Cannons. Several waves of Maliwan forces will begin to spawn. Push forward and take out any enemies along the way.

As you go through the corridor of the maintenance area, you’ll encounter serveral Ratch enemies along the way.

Destroy the Nullhound Inhibiting Turrets

Inside the control room, you’ll find an enemy know as Nullhound’s. The Nullhound is guarding the console and needs to be taken out.

Reboot the Defense Cannons

Reboot the Defense Cannons via the console in the room.

Head to the Final Defense Control

With only some of the turrets back online, make your way to the Final Defense Controls.

Along the way, you’ll encounter several waves of Maliwan forces attempting to block your path. Take them out as you push through the area.

Destroy the Nullhound Inhibiting Turrets

As you near the final Defense Control room, you’ll notice two more Nullhound’s are guarding the area. Take them out.

Reboot the Defense Cannons

Make your way into the Defense Control room and reboot the Defense Cannons.

Hold off the Maliwan Forces

With only the defense cannons only partically working, head to the large courtyard and hold off the incoming forces while Rhys works to get the space laser ready.

Tip: Use the Turrets to defend against the troops. Beware of troops using shock weapons though, as it could prove deadly should you not move from the turret in time.

Take the Elevator to Rhys’ Office

After destroying the command ship, it is revealed that Zer0 is working with Katagawa. Head back inside the building you just came from and take the nearby elevator to Rhys’ Office.

Meet Rhys in His Office & Reveal the Secret Path

Once the elevator stops, head to Rhys’ office and interact with the lamp on his desk to reveal a secret path.

Follow Rhys Down to the Rooftop

Enter the drop once you are prepared for the upcoming boss battle with Katagawa.

Defeat Katagawa Jr.

Defeat Katagawa Jr after it is revealed that he has been pretending to be Zer0.

Take out Katagawa’s clones from above and wait for the real Katagawa to charge at you – use this opportunity to unleash everything you have on him.Repeat this process until he is finally defeated.

Meet Up with Rhys

Meet up with Rhys and Zer0 inside the building.

Choose to Keep the Stache or Lose the Stache

Quite possibly the most -important- choice in the game, decide whether Rhys keeps his stache or loses it. Your choice will not impact the story in anyway.

Collect Vault Key Fragment from Rhys & Give It to Tannis

Take the Vault Key Fragment from Rhys and give it to Tannis in the Infirmary on the Sanctuary.

Tips and Tricks for Defeating Katagawa JR in Borderlands 3

Here are some tips for defeating Katagawa JR in Borderlands 3.

  • Katagawa JR is very susceptible to weapons that have good shield damage bonuses.
  • Constantly move around the map, avoiding his grenades and melee attacks.
  • Take his shield out, as this will allow you to deal as much damage as possible each time he runs at you on the ground.
  • Take out the snipers on top of the towers
  • If downed, taking out the the tower versions of Katagawa JR can be a great way to get a quick revive.
  • His melee attacks can be deadly, avoid them at all cost.
